This is possible thanks to the integrated tool powercfg . For Windows 8, it is able to generate a detailed HTML report of your battery. You can create as

the report generated by powercfg includes a lot of information that are grouped into logical sections. It starts with general information about your device, including the manufacturer and model name. 
The batteries installed section comes with detailed information on the name, serial number and type of battery chemistry. It also includes the ability to design, number of charging cycles and the full charge capacity. The last parameter, relative to the value of the rated capacity, shows how much the battery has deteriorated over time. The number of charge cycles indicates how many times the battery has been charged. 
from the recent use section , you will find power statistics for the last 3 days. It shows when the unit is in use, suspended, loaded and how the battery capacity is still much for each event. 
The Using the Battery contains a chart that shows how your battery discharged in the last 3 days. Below the graph, you will find a table that contains the same data in detail. 
The section using history shows the battery usage time. You will find information on how long the device has been used on battery and mains. 
The the history of the battery capacity shows how the full charge of the battery capacity has decreased over time from its factory capacity . 
The final section, estimates of battery life contains an estimate of the average life of the battery. The table is a comparison of observed values against the battery life under its rated capacity. 
The report of the battery is extremely useful when you need to get detailed information on the capacity and use of your battery. It will give you a better understanding of whether you need to replace the battery or not.
