Edge is the new default browser in Windows 10. Microsoft is constantly working to make it better. However, some of its options are accessible only by editing the registry. In this article we will see how to customize the color of the Edge startup screen.

1. Open Registry Editor.
2. Go to the following registry key:

3. On the right you will see the string parameter named BackgroundColor . Its value is an HTML color code that you can change. The default is # 0078D7 , which represents the blue color default:
4. Change BackgroundColor value and put the color you like by entering a new HTML color code. Here are some color codes :.
   # FF0000 - red
   # 00FF00 - Green
   # 0000FF - blue
   # 000000 - black
   # FFFFFF - white
   You can use any application or online service to find the desired color code value. For example, my favorite editor "Geany" has a tool "Color Chooser" :.

   Once you get the code of the desired color, enter the value BackgroundColor:
5. now, restart Edge. The result will be:
