Another round of privacy-related hysteria began around Windows 10 recently. Many users use various tricks to disable the collection of telemetry and data that is sent to Microsoft servers. Once these settings are applied, these users feel relatively safe. However, it came to be known that even if you turn off telemetry, Windows 10 continues to connect to Microsoft servers and sends data there. This also occurs in the editions such as Windows 10 Long Branch Servicing Term (LTSB) where it can be officially deactivated.
A user named CheesusCrust installed Windows 10 Enterprise and disabled all telemetry and reporting options. To check the efficiency was, he used his DD-WRT router that has very flexible logging options. DD-WRT is actually a powerful Linux router firmware with a wide range of features. The router was able to provide logs of connections created with Windows 10 Enterprise
The results were totally unexpected :.
Here are some 8 hours of network traffic analysis of 5508 connection attempts an unused, Windows installation base 10 Enterprise
Its software DD-WRT detected around 4,000 login attempts in 93 different IP addresses during a period of 8 hours from Windows 10. virtually all of them were related to Microsoft services and servers! If the Windows Enterprise Edition 10 collects and sends data as despite disable functions telemetry and data collection, the situation for non-business issues can be much worse.
Here is a small excerpt of the vast list collected by "CheesusCrust"

The most people are not satisfied with this feature of Windows 10 avoid its upgrade offer by using various tricks such as this registry tweak. Other Windows Update completely disable in Windows 8 and Windows 7 to ensure that some update will not force Windows 10 on them.
There is a class of users who actually like Windows 10, but they are not happy with its monitoring features. These users use third party applications, registry tweaks or Windows firewall to protect their privacy. If you do this, you might be interested in inspecting the list provided by CheesusCrust and make your own list of telemetry blocks.
In the comments, share with us what steps you took to overcome the telemetry in Windows 10. Also tell us what you install Windows 10 and what benefits you get from this system operating. I am also interested to listen to the users of the opposite camp and see what their reasons are for sticking with a previous version of Windows.
