Users who remember and like the appearance of Windows XP might not be very impressed by the look of Windows 10. L default appearance can be changed to some extent using UxStyle and third themes, but in Windows 10, Microsoft prevents the taskbar from being scratched by using visual styles (themes). Today we will see how to skin Windows taskbar 10 to give a Windows XP appearance without using patches or themes.
All we need is the preferred Start menu everybody replacement and improvement of the system tool, Classic Shell. Recently, the developer implemented the ability to skin the task bar in Windows 10 and earlier versions of Windows as well. The user can change the text color of the taskbar, change the color to make it different from the color of the title bar, change its transparency or set a background image or texture of the Taskbar Windows.
To date, only the beta version 4.2.7 of Classis Shell to do this. To continue, you must download Classic Shell 4.2.7 from the official website (use the red button 'Download Beta')
Download Classic Shell
after that you need to prepare for Windows 10 to XP a better look and feel. Do it as follows:
- right click on the taskbar and choose Settings from the context menu :.
- When the application opens Settings, select the option called Using small buttons on the taskbar , as shown below:
- in Settings, go to Customize -> Colors. Select the following color:
- down and turn on option Display color on the title bar
now you can close Settings
Installing Classic Shell you downloaded earlier and do the following

Extract all files to the folder you want. I'll use the c :. Xp
The archive contains the texture of the taskbar, the wallpaper and the Start button for use with Classic Shell - Right-click the Start menu button to open Classic Start Menu. settings:
- by default, the settings dialog box opens in Basic mode: You should move to enhanced mode by checking the box "Show all settings" to get the next look:
- now, go to the tab called taskbar and activate the "Customize the taskbar." There you will find a number of options you have need to change
- Click the "Taskbar texture" and then click on the button [...] to search the xp_bg.png file that you extracted from the archive.
in horizontal stretch below, set "Tile" :. This will make the taskbar in Windows XP look like - then, go to the Start tab button (the left tab the Taskbar tab in Classic Shell). There, check the "Replace Start" button and then click the "custom" option. Then click "Image Button" then click [...]. Again, look for the XPButton.png file you downloaded and extracted from the archive. You'll get something like this: Click OK to apply the image Start button

The taskbar will have an almost XP authentic look. The window frame / title bar also corresponds to the taskbar.
