Power Efficiency Report in Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7 -
Modern versions of Windows come with a nice feature to create an energy efficiency report. It will help you see statistics on your power configuration with a detailed report.
Earlier, we showed you how you can generate a report of the battery in Windows 10 and Windows 8. The energy efficiency report complements the report of the battery. While the battery reporting feature first appeared in Windows 8, the ratio of energy can be generated in Windows 7 and later
- Open an elevated command prompt
- Type the following command: ..
powercfg -Energy
output will be as follows:
Note the path of the report, it created. Usually it is C: Windows System32 energy report.html
- Now open the file created by powercfg in your favorite web browser
Note :. He can not open in Opera gives an error message "file not found" if the HTML report is located in the system32 directory. Either move the report file or open it with another browser.
the report includes 4 sections with various details about the device and its battery.
the first section comes with some general information about your device such as the manufacturer, details of the BIOS and so on.
the next section Errors has a red background color to certain rows
the red color indicates the system parameters that have a significant impact on your power consumption of the battery. the powercfg tool adds these settings it finds Misconfigured in your diet plan to the errors section. It can find errors with your same configuration for applicable settings when your device mobile is connected. These are not errors per se, they are just indicated to inform you that these parameters can be futher optimized to consume less power or battery.
The next section, Warnings , lists the processes that use and applications that affect timers or timeouts significant processing system.
As above, it is not necessary to correct them, because if you need to run your PC with these settings, you can continue using it in this way. However, if you want to minimize the energy consumption, it shows you what optimizations can be made to consume less energy.
The last section is Information .
It contains general information about your power policy and plans, the battery information (similar to the ratio of the battery), supported sleep states, the power management capabilities of your processor and device driver analysis.
The ratio of the energy is useful when you need to know if your system is configured properly to balance energy consumption with performance. It will give you a better understanding of the parameters exactly you need to change to prolong the life of the battery from the device.
